In September 2025, the BRK District Association Bayreuth, through its Competence Center for Advanced Training in Weiherstraße, launched its first adaptation course for the recognition of nursing qualifications obtained abroad.
Seven participants will be prepared both theoretically and practically for their work in the German healthcare system through practice-oriented modules running until the end of 2025. Practical placements take place in various BRK Bayreuth facilities, including the BRK Ruhesitz nursing home, BRK Altstadtpark, and the BRK social care services.
Theory and Practice Hand in Hand
The course follows the guidelines of the Fastlane Bavaria initiative and the Bavarian State Office for Nursing. Its goal is to build on the participants’ existing international qualifications while providing the country-specific knowledge and practical skills required for everyday work in Germany.
The BRK Competence Center Bayreuth has had the program certified by the Federal Employment Agency in accordance with the Accreditation and Approval Ordinance for Employment Promotion (AZAV).
